Piero Angela receives master honoris causa from Master’s Course in Science Communication “Franco Prattico”

The Italian science journalist and television host will hold a lectio magistralis on Monday 12 October at 11.15 am. The event will open MCS lessons for the academic year 2020/2021

On Monday 12 October at 11.15 am Piero Angela will be awarded the Master honoris causa from SISSA Master’s Course in Science Communication "Franco Prattico" (MCS). The ceremony will run live on MCS Facebook page. The event will also inaugurate the new academic year of the Master and will culminate with the lectio magistralis by the science communicator, entitled "Science and Society: past, present and future". MCS is one of the oldest and most established science communication schools in Europe, focused on interdisciplinary and international education in sectors such as journalism, publishing, multimedia, social networks, corporate communication and museums.

SISSA Director Stefano Ruffo; Andrea Gambassi, Director of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Natural Sciences and Humanities (ILAS) of SISSA and the scientific journalist Barbara Gallavotti, author of Superquark and lecturee of MCS will also participate in the ceremony.

The event will take place on the Zoom platform and will be broadcast live on the MCS Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/mcs.sissa)
