FameLab is back in Trieste: the city will host the local selection of the international competition challenging young scientists with the talent of communication to tell in just 3 minutes the object of his or her study, or a scientific topic they are interested in.
The selection will take place on the morning of Friday, 5 April 2024, at the Sala Luttazzi of Magazzino 26 (Porto Vecchio).
Contestants will have to tell a scientific topic in a clear, engaging and understandable way, even for a non-expert audience. No projections, graphs or videos: at their disposal only 3 minutes and a handful of words, and their own communicative talent, to convince the jury and convey the fascination of scientific research.
Entries are due by Thursday, 28 March 2024, through online form.
The first two winners in each local selection will receive a cash prize, access to a Science Communication Masterclass, which will take place in Perugia in June, and to the National Final Competition, scheduled for September-October. The winner of FameLab Italy 2024 will have access to the FameLab International Final Competition, scheduled for November, where he/she will face other competitors from around the world.
