Neuroehnanmcement, substances and addiction: a new edition of the School of Neuroethics

Uppers, smart drugs, non-invasive stimulation techniques are among the many accessible pharmacological and technological practices that allow healthy individuals to enhance their emotional and cognitive functions. But what are they exactly? When can a risk of addition arise or, instead, when should they be used for clinical purposes? Which kind of impact do they have on people personality?

These are some of the questions that will be addressed from 4 to 6 October 2021, during the new edition of the School of Neuroethics organized by SISSA Interdisciplinary Laboratory. The presence of several speakers from both natural and social sciences will allow to look at the relationships between neuroenhancement, substances with an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach.  

Participants can take part remotely or in presence. Some fellowships are in place for the coverage of travel and accommodation expenses.
