70 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Experts gather in Gorizia on Monday 10 December

On World Human Rights Day, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights turns 70. To celebrate it, major Italian experts in the field will gather on Monday 10 December in Gorizia to discuss “The value of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in International Law”.

The event will also be the occasion to present the project PaDNU (Peace, human rights and United Nations), funded by Region FVG within the initiative UniTY FVG. PaDNU will support the creation of the "Archive - Library of the United Nation" as a starting point for the development of a new centre for research and long-lasting education.

The meeting - organised by Univeristiy of Trieste in collaboration with SISSA, University of Udine, Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, Vitale Institut for Geopolitical Studies - will take place at the Main Lecture Hall of the local branch of the University of Trieste in Gorizia, Via d'Alviano.
