SISSA has entered into an agreement with Trenitalia for Business, which entitles all members of the SISSA community (including Professors, Technical and Administrative Staff, SISSA Medialab Staff, Research Grants Holders, Postdocs and PhD Students) to a 10% discount on the purchase of train tickets, both for missions and for personal travel.
To benefit from this discount, you must have a CartaFRECCIA. The discount is applicable to basic, economy and super economy fares on all trains in the Frecce and Intercity categories.
To obtain the discount on personal travel, you must associate your CartaFRECCIA with the Trenitalia for Business offer. In the next few days you will receive an email invitation from Trenitalia ("CartaFRECCIA Membership Invitation") to join the program.
If you already have a CartaFRECCIA, you can associate your code with the program simply by logging in with your credentials at the link provided in the email. Otherwise, by registering for the program through the link provided by SISSA, you will automatically receive a CartaFRECCIA that will entitle you to discounts.
Once the association is completed, by entering your personal CartaFreccia code during the booking process, you will automatically gain access to the "Welfare Plus" rate.
The discount is also extended to travel companions, up to a maximum of 7 people including the cardholder.
In the case of mission trips, to access the discounted rate it is sufficient to provide the number of your personal CartaFRECCIA when requesting the purchase of a prepaid ticket at the affiliated travel agency.
