The human brain and octopus have major similarities

Scientists have long known that octopus is an extraordinary organism with a very complex brain and thinking abilities unique to invertebrate creatures. According to a new study led by International School for Advanced Study (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy, the neuronal and cognitive complexity of these animals may derive from a molecular resemblance to the human brain.
