The most important Italian festival dedicated to science fiction and all the declinations of fantasy gives you appointment from Thursday 29 until Tuesday, November 3 for the first time online in the virtual room of Mymovies.
Opening the festival on the web on Thursday 29 October will be the film Skylin3s by Liam O'Donnell, the third chapter of the successful sci-fi saga, the first Italian preview at 20.00 on the platform of the festival.
At 22.30 the program will continue with SF8, Korean science fiction TV series already defined the Asian response to Black Mirror, an international preview for the online audience of the festival.
Trieste Science+Fiction Festival, the most important Italian event dedicated to the exploration of science fiction and the future, celebrates its first 20 years. The Trieste event will take place from Thursday 29th October until Tuesday 3rd November for the first time online in the Web Room of Mymovies, the leading website in Italy in film information. An experimental format with a selection of films, shorts and documentaries distributed for the first time online, with many world and national previews.
Opening film of the 2020 edition of the festival in the web room of Mymovies will be Skylin3s by Liam O'Donnell, third chapter of the successful sci-fi saga, scheduled for Thursday, October 29 at 20.00 on the platform of the festival. This new episode, in competition at the Trieste Science+Fiction 2020 national preview thanks to the collaboration with Blue Swan Entertainment, focuses on the character of Captain Rose Corley (played by Lindsey Morgan, former protagonist of the television series The 100)A human with extraterrestrial superpowers. Captain Rose is the only person able to fight the alien invaders, but he needs constant blood transfusions to stop her accelerated aging rate. Long-time fighter against the invaders, Rose is now on the run, but will be found in his hiding place by some military and, once again, enlisted to fight. The hybrids between humans and aliens - which make up the majority of the Earth’s population - are about to fall under alien control. Rose, sent on a mission to the alien mother ship, will have only 72 hours to save humanity.
At 22.30 also on Thursday 29 October the programming on Mymovies will continue with the online release of the 8 episodes of SF8, Korean science fiction series already defined the Asian response to Black Mirror, an international preview for the online audience of the festival. Behind the camera are the best Korean filmmakers, including Jang Cheol-soo (Bedeviled) and Min Kyu-dong (Memento Mori), who are struggling with the themes of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality and the world of robots. An unmissable anthological series that deals with the main topics related to science fiction and technological development, from gaming to artificial intelligence, from robotics to super powers. The TV series will be available in streaming for the duration of the event.
