"UFO-center of residences, study and participation" is a three-year programme conceived by actress, director and playwright Marcela Serli for La Contrada Theatre. The initiative aims to explore the relationship between artists and the scientific and cultural community of Trieste. As part of UFO project, following the successful 2018 experience, SISSA hosts two artistic residencies this year. The first one is held by Fattoria Vittadini Ballet Company from 20 May to 5 June. Three dancers together with the participants face the topic of research, first with a theoretical debate, then practicing physical improvisation. The second residency, which took place from 20 to 26 May, was led by director Marcello Cotugno and focused on a theatrical study of a text based on "The Children" by Lucy Kirkwood.
