34 milioni di ore di calcolo l’anno. A tanto può arrivare il potente supercomputer ad alte prestazioni che sarà inaugurato il 24 settembre a Trieste, come anticipazione di Trieste Next. Si tratta di un progetto realizzato dalla SISSA nell’ambito di un accordo con l’ICTP, e avrà come sede il “vecchio” quartier generale della SISSA, in via Beirut 2-4. L’inaugurazione sarà l’occasione per illustrare alcuni esempi di applicazioni del supercalcolo nell’ambito industriale e scientifico, e per presentare il nuovo Master in High Performance Computing, MHPC
34 million computing hours a year. That's the processing power of the powerful high-performing supercomputer that will be inaugurated on September 24 in Trieste, as an anticipation of Trieste Next. The project was developed by SISSA within an agreement with ICTP, and the machine will be housed at the “old” SISSA headquarters in via Beirut 2-4. The inauguration will provide an occasion to illustrate some applications of supercomputing in industry and science, and to present the new Master's in High Performance Computing, MHPC.
