Data journalism scholarship: deadline extended to June 16th

SISSA has just released an annual scholarship for the production of an original and unpublished investigation of data journalism. The aim is to promote investigative journalism based on the scientific method, using data mining and artificial intelligence to collect, select and interpret data. The investigation may cover topics of public interest where it is necessary to highlight news related to science, health and the environment, as well as ethical and social issues related to the use of artificial intelligence. It will also be possible to examine the impact of artificial intelligence in specific areas such as science, society and politics.

The call is open to everyone, without restriction of residence or nationality; the only restriction is to be of legal age at the time the application is completed.  Groups or associations are not allowed to participate. Applicants will be selected on the basis of their CV and a proposal to be drafted according to the specifications described in the call.

The deadline for applications has been extended until June 16th 2023 at Noon.
