Emotions, language, self-control: the School of Neuroethics is back in September

Registrations to the fifth edition of School of Neuroethics, entitled “Emotions, language, self-control. Neurosciences, cognitive sciences, ethics and clinic of dependencies,” are now open. The School, scheduled in Trieste from 16 to 18 September, will examine the ability of consciously modulating and controlling emotions, desires, brain activity and behavior, especially with respect to addiction.  The event aims at fostering the collaboration between research and clinic sectors and, thus, the development of innovative and effective support strategies.

The School is organized by the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of SISSA (ILAS),  Azienda per l'Assistenza Sanitaria n. 2 "Bassa Friulana-Isontina"  Osservatorio sulle tossicodipendenze della Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia and Dipartimento di Filosofia,
Comunicazione e Spettacolo dell'Università di Roma Tre.

The lessons will take place at SISSA and the Circolo Marina Mercantile.

As for the previous editions, the School of Neuroethics can rely on the collaboration of: Società Italiana Tossicodipendenze, Società
Italiana di Neuroetica e Filosofia delle Neuroscienze and Società
Italiana di Storia, Filosofia e Studi Sociali della Biologia e della
Medicina.
