For any print use, use the vector version of the logo (.pdf) available on the page SISSAnet > For Researchers and Students > Logos and Templates. For on-screen use, raster versions are available (e.g. PNG). SISSA’s Communications Office (pressoffice@sissa.it) can provide the logos in both RGB and CMYK versions upon request.
No. The logo must be used only in the approved colour versions and without alterations. “Ad hoc” colour changes are not allowed, nor are grayscale applications or multicolour solutions. Use the correct variant depending on background and contrast (avoid black on dark backgrounds and avoid white on light backgrounds).
No. SISSA marks are unified and non-modifiable elements: creating derived logos, reinterpretations, or new versions for projects is not permitted.
If you need to distinguish an office, laboratory, spin-off, or any other internal SISSA entity for which no approved logo exists, you can use the Name Tag system, as described on page 29 of the visual identity manual. Nametags are available upon request.
Any other non-standard needs (including co-branding solutions or specific adaptations) require evaluation and approval by the Communications Office (pressoffice@sissa.it).
If the institutional font (Suisse) is not available, use Arial. On macOS, Helvetica is also acceptable.
You may use the logo without the seal, except in institutional communications, where the full logo must be used. The horizontal version of the logo with the seal is available upon request for specific cases. See also page 10 of the visual identity guidelines for clarification on the elements that make up the logo and their possible uses.
For the logo: minimum width 8 mm. Always maintain the clear space (safe space) around the mark to ensure legibility and recognisability.
