European Researchers' Night: September 29th

On Friday 29 September, the European Researchers' Night lights up hundreds of cities across Europe, including Trieste. From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., in the spaces of the Immaginario Scientifico and the Sala Luttazzi, adults and children will be able to take part in games, shows, workshops, demonstrations and talks on the many topics on which Trieste's research institutions work every day. The main topics will be artificial intelligence, climate change, sustainability, and the health of the sea and people. But also astronomy, neuroscience, sociology, food, investigative techniques, and even Stradivarius and Oppenheimer.

 

Here the events organized by SISSA: 

17.00 – 18.00 IL SEGRETO DELLA VITA (The secret of life)

18.30-19.30 GO GREEN: SCOPRI LA TUA IMPRONTA ECOLOGICA (Go green: discover your ecological footprint)

20.00-21.00 QUANTUM NE SAI… DEL DNA? (A quantum of knowledge)

SISSA will also be present at the SiS FVG space where researchers from research centres and universities of Friuli Venezia Giulia will talk about scientific projects and challenges related to environmental sustainability.

The European Researchers' Night is an initiative promoted by the European Commission that involves thousands of researchers, researchers and institutions in all European countries every year. In Trieste the Night is called SHARPER-SHAring Researchers' Passion for Enhanced Roadmaps, after the name of the European project, and is organised by Immaginario Scientifico together with the Department for Education and Family Policies of the Municipality of Trieste and the scientific institutions of Trieste City of Knowledge.
