The PRELICA project has been selected by the General Commissariat of Section of Italy for Expo 2020 Dubai and by the National Research Council to tell the story of Italian innovation at the next universal exhibition. The video of the project will be screened together with 14 other videos that have been selected to represent the Water sector within the Innovation Observatory of the Italian Pavilion in the exhibition dedicated.  PRELICA will be present throughout the six-month exhibition in Dubai, which kicks off next October, helping to represent the frontiers of research and sustainable technological innovation.

SISSA has been a promoter among the project partners in the call addressed to universities and research institutions, competing with 158 other videos to be included in the list of the best 26 divided between the two themes Space and Water. The videos have been selected for their innovative capacity in terms of sustainability, health and safety, in a framework of accessibility and resilience of environmental, energy, water and space resources.

The project PRELICA - Advanced methodologies for the hydro-acoustic design of the naval propeller- addresses the topic of hydrodynamic noise of the naval propeller on the ecosystem of marine life, and developed a design methodology obtained by combining high-tech complementary methods and tools for a propeller layout that can reduce radiated noise. It has been developed with the partnership of two small and medium enterprises, Iefluids and Engys, a large company, CETENA, by SISSA and University of Trieste, with coordination by mareFVG and thanks to the funding provided from POR FESR of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The results will allow the partnership to overcome new challenges in designing ever more environmentally conscious.
