To celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2019 and to join forces to build an inclusive scientific community, ICTP, OWSD and SISSA, in collaboration with Soroptimist Trieste, are organizing an event scheduled on 8 February 2019.
This event is intended to be an opportunity to raise awareness, especially among younger participants, of the possibilities for women in science. The happening will be held at Caffé Tommaseo, in Trieste, starting from 6.30 pm. Some aperitif will be offered to participants by OSWD.
The format of the event will be open-house, with guests invited to visit various stations where young female scientists coming from Trieste’s scientific organization will showcase their research. The International Women and Girls in Science Day official date is 11 February 2019.
