A new edition of Trieste Science Festival

Facing an undeniable progress in human well-being, but also major global problems, such as global warming and energy challenges, science questions its potential but also its ethical limits. This issue will be at the core at Trieste Next 2022, the local Science Festival that will take place from 22 to 24 September. The title of this edition is in fact "The boundaries of science. Innovation and research: ethical limits and new frontiers".

80 events, 300 speakers in presence, 50 exhibition spaces in Piazza Unità d'Italia, 400 researchers and PhD students from all over Europe are expected for the 11th edition of the Festival della Scienza, the first in an international version with a program in Italian and one in English.

Trieste Next 2022 is organized within the agreement “Trieste Città della Conoscenza”. The promoters of the event include the Municipality of Trieste, the University of Trieste, SISSA, Immaginario Scientifico, OGS, Area Science Park and ItalyPost. Co-promoter of the event is the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

SISSA will be present with four events, some activities from SISSA FOR SCHOOLS and a joint stand with ICTP in Piazza Unità.
