On Tuesday 28 February 2017, Adele La Rana, from University of Rome “La Sapienza”, will give a seminar on the history of gravitational waves studies, focusing on the origin of the first experimental activities in Italy aimed at detecting gravitational radiation. “The Birth of Gravitational Wave. Research in Italy: Insights into a Scientific Frontier Adventure” is one of the “History of science” seminars organized by SISSA Interdisciplinary Laboratory. The event will take place in the SISSA’s Big Meeting room, 7th floor, starting from 3.00 pm.
Martedì 28 febbraio 2017, Adele La Rana dell’Università di Roma “La Sapienza” terrà un seminario sulla storia degli studi sull’onda gravitazionale, concentrandosi poi sulle origini delle prime attività sperimentali in Italia. L’evento rientra nell’ambito della serie di incontri organizzati dal Laboratorio Interdisciplinare dedicati alla storia della scienza. Il seminario avrà luogo presso la Big Meeting room al settimo piano della SISSA, a partire dalle ore 15.00.
