SISSA welcomes applications from candidates with a strong interest in research, without limitations of age and nationality, who have completed, or are going to complete by 31 October 2026, their undergraduate studies of Master of Science/ Laurea Magistrale, in scientific subjects, with particular emphasis to Physics, Chemistry, Engineering.
The PhD candidate would work on a highly multidisciplinary project involving synthesizing advanced computer simulations and machine-learning techniques to study exotic problems in physics and chemistry. This will be conducted in close theory collaborations with PI's at SISSA as well as other experimental collaborators all over the world.

The Selection Committee, will evaluate the documentation produced by the candidates (curriculum vitae, transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.). Candidates who have obtained a minimum score of 21/30 will be invited to take part in the interview which will be held remotely between 16 and 20 March 2026.
To be considered eligible, candidates must pass all the phases (academic qualifications, and interview) with a minimum mark of 7/10 or equivalent.
