Trieste is located in north-eastern Italy
(click here to see a map). It is connected by Intercity trains to Milano (via
Venezia) and Rome (via Firenze-Bologna- Venezia).
Trieste airport is in Ronchi dei Legionari, some 35 km west of Trieste.
The airport is served by flights connecting to Roma, Milano, Genova, Torino,
Munich (Germany), and Beograd (Yugoslavia). A shuttle bus connects the
airport to the city; it also stops nearby the SISSA campus.
