Research interests

I am a third year PhD student. I obtained my bachelors degree in the University of Ghana, Accra and subsequently did my postgraduate diploma in condensed matter physics at the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP).

My diploma thesis focused on using first principles electronic structure methods to study the modification of the Dirac cones in Graphene synthesized on a Cobalt substrate.

In my PhD, we are currently trying to understand the local environment of water near hydrophobic surfaces using standard structural quantities and also with the aid of machine learning techniques.
