New Discovery Reveals Why Octopuses are Smarter Than Your Average Invertebrate

The new study published in BMC Biology reports that transposons belonging to the LINE (Long Interspersed Nuclear Elements) family have been discovered in the part of the octopus' brain that handles cognitive abilities, which is also similarly determined in the human brain.
