“Technology innovation offer” is the title of the round table scheduled for Friday 23 June as one of the several appointments of Venice’s “Biennale innovazione 2017”. During the event, the rectors of Triveneto’s universities will present the SMACT Competence Center. Supported by these academies, the Center will be a new “ecosystem” able to create connections between companies and leading innovation actors. This interaction will offer new opportunities to transform advanced technologies in the SMACT area (Social network, Mobile platform & apps, advanced Analytics and big data, Cloud and Internet of Things) into business. SISSA’s director Stefano Ruffo will talk about the School’s activities in the area of industry 4.0. These focus on high performance computing, on data science and, more in general, on experimenting complex systems for data calculation and processing. Moreover, in 2016, together with University of Trieste and University of Udine, SISSA co-founded the Lama FVG (Friuli Venezia Giulia’s advanced mechatronic laboratory), centre of excellence for industrial innovation in, among others, automotive, biomedical, and aerospace sectors. Lama FVG is located in Udine.
