SISSA joins the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR) in raising awareness about the dangers of Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid 50-100 times more potent than morphine, now present in Europe.
In response to the MUR and CRUI's call, we share informational materials from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (Anti-Drug Policies Department) and the Ministry of Health. Although initially targeted at teachers, this material is also shared with students to enhance awareness of the risks.
Opioid use carries a high risk of overdose, with a growing number of deaths, especially in the US, but also in Europe, where opioids are involved in 74% of fatal overdoses.
