Simple, like a neutron star

These objects too can be described as “hairless”

For astrophysicists neutron stars are extremely complex astronomical objects. Research conducted with the collaboration of SISSA and published in the journal Physical Review Letters demonstrates that in certain respects these stars can instead be described very simply and that they show similarities with black holes.

Le stelle di neutroni per gli astrofisici sono corpi celesti estremamente complessi. Una ricerca condotta con la collaborazione della SISSA, e pubblicata sulla rivista Physical Review Letters, dimostra che per certi aspetti queste stelle potrebbero invece essere descritte in maniera molto semplice, e mostrano analogie con i buchi neri.
