Introduction to Smooth Ergodic Theory

This course will be an introduction to invariant measures and ergodicity in discrete, mostly one-dimensional, deterministic dynamical systems. Through several examples we will define the notion of an invariant measure, the notion of ergodicity and its applications, and also the notion of a physical measure. The only prerequisite is some familiarity with basic measure theory.
