Vaccine communication is a complicated affair. On the one hand, the risk of oversimplification or making mistakes is always present; on the other, communicators, politicians, doctors and scientists have to face increasing skepticism on this issue. On Wednesday 10 May, a seminar organized by the Master course in Science Communication “Franco Prattico” will offer an interesting opportunity to discuss this critical topic. In the first part, Professor Andrea Grignolio, from the University of Rome "La Sapienza", will present the theme focusing on a historical perspective. In the second, Lucia Zambelli will talk about her eperience as a journalist who often is asked to communicate political choices that can have a strong impact on citizens’ health. The seminar is the second of the three planned sessions for professional updating for journalists. The event will take place at SISSA's Big Meeting Room, starting from 2.30 p.m and will be held in Italian. The journalist Francesca Iannelli will introduce the speakers. Comunicare in modo corretto le scelte vaccinali è un mestiere arduo. Non solo perché si può facilmente incappare in semplificazioni ed errori, ma anche perché ci si trova di fronte a una crescente resistenza sociale. Mercoledì 10 maggio, un seminario organizzato dal Master in comunicazione della scienza "Franco Prattico" offrirà l'opportunità di discutere questo tema. Nella prima parte, il professor Andrea Grignolio dell'Università di Roma "La Sapienza", affronterà la questione attraverso la narrazione storica; nella seconda, la giornalista Lucia Zambelli racconterà l’esperienza di chi lavora per comunicare ai cittadini scelte politiche che possono avere conseguenze sulla salute dell’intera comunità. Il seminario, il secondo dei tre appuntamenti organizzati nell'ambito della formazione per giornalisti, avrà luogo presso la Big Meeting Room della SISSA, a partire dalle 14.30. L'evento si svolgerà in italiano e sarà introdotto dalla giornalista Francesca Iannelli. Tutte le persone interessate sono invitate a partecipare.
