Speaker: prof Paolo Rossi – Dipartimento di Fisica – Universita’ di Pisa
The meeting is part of a series of conferences started in 2001 that was intended to be a place where to discuss recent results and research perspectives on nonlinear hyperbolic PDEs. This 11th meeting meeting wishes to be the occasion to celebrate the 60th birthday of Alberto Bressan. For this reason, the program will consist of invited talks by former students, collaborators and friends of Alberto on topics of nonlinear hyperbolic PDEs and variational analysis. The conference will start on Monday June 13th at 9:00, and will end on Friday June 17th at 13:00.
The workshop "Advances in the Mathematical Analysis of Material Defects in Elastic Solids" will take place at SISSA from June 6th to June 10th, 2016 in Aula Magna.
It will focus on the mathematical analysis of dislocations, plasticity, damage, and fracture. The most recent results on these subjects will be discussed combining different expertise and perspectives.
The workshop is organised in the framework of the ERC project "Quasistatic and Dynamic Evolution Problems in Plasticity and Fracture".

Reduced Order Methods in Computational Fluid Dynamics: state of the art and perspectives COST EU-MORNET
This mini-workshop is organized in the framework of COST, European Union Cooperation in Science and Technology, action TD 1307, EU-MORNET, European Union Model Order Reduction Network.
The mini-workshop topics deal with reduced order methods in computational fluid-dynamics and related aspects: domain decomposition, coupled physics (elasticity and porous media), interfaces, optimization, control, inverse problems, industrial applications, benchmarks test cases, parametrizations, sensitivity analysis, etc.
The aim of this seminar is to show the recent capabilities in MATLAB, tips and tricks on how to design algorithms, how to efficiently access to data from different data sources in MATLAB and how MATLAB is used for scientific computation in order to teach courses focused on mathematical modelling, statistics, optimization, financial modelling, programming, signal processing, etc.
A mini-workshop in the framework of the project INDAM-GNCS
