34 million computing hours a year. That's the processing power of the powerful high-performing supercomputer that has been inaugurated on September 24 in Trieste, as an anticipation of Trieste Next. The project was developed by SISSA within an agreement with ICTP, and the machine is housed at the “old” SISSA headquarters in via Beirut 2-4. The inauguration provided an occasion to illustrate some applications of supercomputing in industry and science, and to present the new Master's in High Performance Computing, MHPC.
