Giuseppe Legname appointed as Editorial Board member of JBC

Giuseppe Legname, professor of the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), has been recently appointed as Editorial Board member for the Journal of Biological Chemistry (JBC).
The JBC is one of the oldest peer-reviewed scientific journals covering thematic areas such as biochemistry and molecular biology. It was established in 1905 and since 1925, it is published by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
This appointment is particularly prestigious because only few Italian scientists serve as Editorial Board members of the Journal and this nomination is a highly regarded recognition for the major scientific contributions made over the years by professor Legname. Several recent contributions come from original research conducted here in SISSA where professor Legname has been working as an Associate Professor and faculty in the Area of Neuroscience.
The 5-year appointment is subject to a very stringent evaluation of the performance by the Board of Directors of the Journal and may be renewed for an additional 5-year term.
