Research interests

My field of research is theoretical high-energy physics, with main focus on string theory, supersymmetric quantum field theories and the AdS/CFT duality.

In recent years I got mostly interested in supersymmetry breaking, both in field theory and in string theory, and on applications of the AdS/CFT correspondence to condensed matter systems.

My most recent project deals with holographic descriptions of hidden sectors in gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking scenarios. This is a framework in which the strongly coupled hidden sector dynamics is described in terms of weakly coupled gravitational duals, and the structure of soft terms of the SSM Lagrangian computed holographically. More generally, I am interested at holographic descriptions of RG-flows in strongly coupled supersymmetric field theories.
