In 2013 I obtained my M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technologies at University of Milan studying new peptide antagonists of alpha-3-beta-4 nicotinic receptor by means of in silico classical Molecular Dynamics simulations and Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis in the lab. In october 2013 I got a position as PhD student in Physics and Chemistry of Biological Systems at SISSA (International School for Advanced Studies, Trieste) and I am currently at the fourth year of the PhD program, under the supervision of Dr. Alessandra Magistrato. My research focuses on the role of Mg2+ ions in RNA splicing reaction investigated by classical and QM/MM MD simulations, in a project co-financed by European Social Fund (2007/2013). In 2015 I spent six months as a visiting student at EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) in the LCBC group (Laboratory of Computational Chemistry and Biochemistry) headed by Prof. U. Rothlisberger.
