About these pages

This pages are maintained through a bespoke Content Management System based on PHP, MySQL and TinyMCE.

First, the structure: the Content Management System was written by Sergio Graziosi, it works on PHP 4 and higher and stores data on MySQL 5. The single articles can be edited on-line with the aid of TinyMCE, a popular WYSIWYG open source javascript application (see Licence). If you are interested on the CMS source code please contact Sergio itself.

Second, the graphics: the layout was proposed and discussed with Michele Dibattista and Professor Mallamaci, tuning and standard-compliance checks where subsequently done by S. Graziosi. In 2008, Sudhir Sivakumaran took over the job of maintaining/updating the website with help from Professor Mallamaci and his predecessor Michele DiBattista.

Third, the contents: contents are inserted by Neurobiology students under the supervision of the heads of the sector, namely the Sector's Council and the responsibles of each research group.

 

Valid CSS!Finally, the standard compliance: this site has passed the CSS2 validation test.


Valid HTML 4.01 TransitionalThe original structure validates also as HTML 4.01 Transitional, however, since the content is constantly updated, there is no guarantee that all pages will always pass the test. To help maintaining a standards-compliant web-site the authors are encoruaged to run the validation test each time they insert or edit some content.
