Once again it’s time for the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste to introduce itself and welcome its new arrivals, the students who are just starting on their PhD journey and the research fellows who will join the School’s research projects for the next few years.
In occasione della settimana dei diritti dell’infanzia, nello spirito dell’iniziativa “Nati per leggere”, due ricercatori e il Direttore della SISSA leggeranno delle fiabe ai bambini dell’asilo nido della Scuola. Un’occasione riunire le persone che lavorano alla SISSA con i loro bambini in un evento festoso e per ribadire l’importanza della lettura fin dalla più tenera età.

At 4, Aaron Fait, Senior Lecturer at Ben Gurion University, will speak about
"Arid land biotechnology and agriculture: challenging a changing climate"
The Trieste University Theatre Centre (CUT) will be at SISSA to perform William Shakespeare’s comedy “The Merry Wives of Windsor”. The appointment is for Thursday 9 October at 6.30 pm in the “P. Budinich” Main Lecture Hall; the event is free and open to the public.
The course aims at improving scientists' personal skills to communicate the value and the results of their research to difference audiences (from children to policy makers) with different media (from face-to-face conference to internet).
The course presents best practices to develop and operate science centres and museums relating to our natural and cultural heritage, and supporting programmes for the public.
The course presents best practices to develop interactive exhibitions that include hands-on exhibits, multimedia, video installations and other new technologies and approaches.
The course aims at empowering explainers, educators and other mediators to facilitate discussions on controversial issues and scientific applications, through science cafés, discussions games and other participatory procedures.
