The International School for Advanced Studies and International Centre for Theoretical Physics organize a Trimester on Dynamical and Control Systems in Trieste, Italy, Sept. 8 - Dec. 7, 2003.

The activity is primarily intended for Ph. D. students (in mathematics, engineering, and physics) who are specialized or interested in Dynamical Systems and Mathematical Control Theory. The emphasis will be on the singularities of all kinds: caustics, shocks, resonances, bifurcations, etc, as fields where Dynamical Systems techniques and Control Theory can naturally interact.

The activity will consist of a series of courses given by invited lecturers, research seminars, and a workshop during the last week, where young participants could also present their results. We plan to have a rather light fixed schedule in order to save time for the informal activities as well as tutorials for those who need it.

The workshop, during the last week, will take place in TORINO. One can get more information on the web site : www.mat.ua.pt/juniormeeting/
