Surface physics course 2000/2001

This is a topical course for first year Ph.D. students in the Condensed Matter Sector at the International School for Advanced Studies.

The purpose of this course is not to try to cover all general aspects of surface physics in a comprehensive way, but rather to discuss some specific topics which are felt here to be particularly interesting, and often the subject of locally ongoing research.

After attending this course, students are expected to be able to get started on a surface physics research project easily, and have an idea of what other people in the group are doing. A publication list of the group is also available.
