NEUTRINOLESS DOUBLE BETA DECAY The fundamental process that can unveil the very nature of massive Majorana neutrinos is the neutrinoless double beta decay i.e. a double beta decay without the emission of neutrinos. This process is the only feasibile experiment that can tell us if neutrinos are Majorana or Dirac particles.

DISCRETE SYMMETRIES One of the most important issue of neutrino physics is understanding the origin of the mass pattern and the mixing of these tiny particles. Discrete symmetries attempt to predict the values of the entries of the Pontecorvo-Maki-Nakagawa-Sakata mixing matrix.

LEPTOGENESIS Leptogenesis is a wonderful mechanism that attempts to reproduce the observed baryon asymmetry in our Universe. Indeed in this scenario a violation of the lepton number is converted in a violation of baryon number through the sphaleron processes. A
