On 20th November from 9.30 a.m. the International School for Advanced Studies has inaugurated the "Welcome Day", a chance to meet the scientists and the students at the school.

Special attention has been given to the students: this event has been open to the broad public and was a chance to welcome new students and to give the awards for the best PhD and Master's theses to those who have completed their studies at SISSA. A lecture by Claudio Bartocci (Professor at the University of Genova) on the famous mathematician Henri Poincaré closed this event.

Il prossimo 20 novembre a partire dalle 9.30 del mattino la Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati ha inaugurato il "Welcome Day", un modo per incontrare gli scienziati e gli studenti della scuola. Particolare attenzione è stata rivolta proprio a questi ultimi: l'evento, aperto a tutta la cittadinanza, è stata infatti un'occasione per accogliere i nuovi studenti e assegnare i premi per la migliore tesi di dottorato e di master a quelli che hanno finito il loro percorso di studio alla SISSA. L'evento si è poi chiuso con la conferenza di Claudio Bartocci, professore dell'Università di Genova, dedicata al celebre matematico Henri Poincaré.
